Is Magnet Therapy safe and can it be used with pregnancy?
Submitted by staff on Mon, 2006-11-20 18:46. biomagnetic faqs | BlogMagnet Therapy, properly referred to as Biomagnetic therapy is completely safe if applied properly – but is not advised with pregnancy as there have been no conclusive studies.
The Science of MagnetoBioPhysics or what is commonly called Biomagnetism is a very exacting technology/science.
Many magnetic companies think it is OK to place magnets anywhere on the body. Even the World Health Organization has issued a formal statement that static magnetic fields (from hard, non-electric magnets) pose no health risks.
But this is not entirely true – the body is made up complex energies that go into the millionths of a volt. Through the years, the body and its cellular voltages (see BIA Test Report) have been completely tested, analyzed and fully reported in basic physiology. As the laws of physics are very basic, the voltage from an improperly applied magnetic field can stress the cell’s electrical field.
These energies and the body’s neurotransmission travel through nerve pathways which run in very specific directions. When using Biomagnetism, it is important to energize through the proper pathways so the energy does not run backwards and stress the area.
There have been numerous reports of pain arising from using the Bio-North Negative healing field. Practitioners and/or magnet companies have indicated ‘just keep wearing it or continuously put it on or off – until the healing takes place.’
If you use a biomagnet and the pain continues or increases, generally the application is wrong. Our first concern is to “Do no harm.” and if any pain is experienced, it is better to stop the application and review the therapy protocol as it may be on the wrong polarity meridian of the body.
Did you know that one side of the arm or leg has a different polarity from the other side and they are different on each limb (one side is Positive and the other is Negative). Like a car’s battery, you would not touch the wrong connections as it makes a dangerous spark. When you put a magnet on the wrong polarity, it also sparks the cells electricity which stresses the cell (s) rather than healings them.
The Institute teaches the proper applications to make sure the BioMagnets are correctly placed. When correctly placed, consistent reports indicate rapid pain relief and the body moving toward rapid healing
What is Magnet Therapy and Zeta Potential?
Submitted by staff on Mon, 2006-11-20 18:28. biomagnetic faqs | BlogBiomagnetics [MagnetoBioPhysics] is the science where specifically designed magnets are used to support the normal electrical charge of the human cell(s) to achieve and maintain a healthy state.
Consider what happens when the battery in your car is low - the lights dim, the horn doesn't work, and the circuits go into a weakened disorder. This is what happens to your body's condition when your human battery wears down. Scientifically, this is known as MDS (Magnetic Deficiency Syndrome, Dr. Kyoichi Nakagawa, MD. and is accompanied with feeling poorly and a gradual dysfunction of gland, organ and cellular tissue. Over a prolonged period, it can result in impairment to the immune system causing incomplete healing, disease or overall poor health (see BIA - Parallel Capacitance Body Composition Report # 111804MW)
Recharging the Human Battery by proper application of our BioMagnets simply nourishes the correct charge so that the cells have the proper amount of energy to metabolize correctly – which gives it the ability to repair itself quickly.
The cell’s electricity operates at what is called the Zeta potential. The Proper Zeta potential is the amount of electrical energy the cells require to efficiently metabolize correctly - transport oxygen, nutrients, produce energy, and eliminate waste. Magnetic therapy, when used properly, immediately increases the required Zeta potential [which normally builds up slowly during healing] into the cells – thereby helping the cell to start metabolizing faster, thereby stimulating healing.
An injury or long term condition creates swelling – sometimes resulting in the cells not receiving the correct nutrition and not efficiently releasing toxins – resulting in more pain and swelling. When this condition exists, the brain sends Negative energy to the site [to raise the Zeta potential] so the cells can rapidly normalize and reduce the swelling and pain.
By increasing the Zeta potential, circulation is also increased as seen in the Institute’s Live Cell microscopy reports in which the clumped blood cells (rouleau formation - Before and After Energized Blood Tests # 2) are separated for better nutrient/water transfer efficiency. The reports also indicate the Zeta Negative potential acts as an anti-oxidant by neutralizing Free-Radicals [Positive charges].
Magnetic therapy can be used independently or as a supportive adjunct to your current therapy. It has no adverse side effects if it is used properly – but can cause stress and increase pain if used improperly.
The Foundation for Magnetic Science was created to make sure that the people have the exact scientific applications of magnet therapy. These applications were developed through 26 years of meticulous work with practitioners, physiologists and clinical researchers to make sure the applications are scientifically applicable to the body’s correct energy mechanisms.
For proper therapy applications, please review the Institute’s “Conquering Pain, the Art of Healing with Biomagnetism” book or the Conquering Pain brochure. It is important that the general healing pole [Bio-North Negative] is placed correctly. The Negative field on the wrong location can cause stress. The Negative field on the correct location has been shown to rapidly accelerate the body’s natural healing and reduce pain.
Magnetic therapy is intended to benefit normal structure and function and is not prescribed as therapy for medical or psychological conditions, nor for diagnosis, care, therapy or rehabilitation of individuals, nor to apply medical, mental health or human development principles.
NOTE: This article and similar articles can be found in the Magnet Therapy -- Frequency Asked Questions section (FAQ)Are Magnetic Fields from power lines & appliances dangerous?
biomagnetic faqsThe electromagnetic fields surrounding power lines and electrical appliances have very powerful Positive and Negative fields therapy alternate (Alternating Current electricity) back and forth 60 times a second here in North America and 50 times a second in most other areas of the world. There is a tremendous body of knowledge and investigation proving that AC fields from power lines and appliances have disturbing biological properties that are bad for health if the individual is within the field.
In Sweden, it is illegal to have any commercial working atmosphere that has 2 or more milligauss (one thousandth of one gauss) of AC current since Swedish science has established that 2 or more milligauss can cause cancer. Appliance, tube type computer screens and overhead electric lines can give over 40 to +100 milligauss.
The 1 meter rule - It is wise to keep tube type computer screens, plug in radios or clocks or any electronic equipment 1 meter (39 inches) away from any area you spend a lot of time in – especially when sleeping. Reduced cellular electromotive energy from AC may be raised by using the daytime therapy. Individuals with hyper sensitivity to AC Electromotive smog have reported an increase of energy from the Daytime therapy.
What is Pulsed Magnetic Therapy?
biomagnetic faqsThere are a number of electromagnet appliances that put out a pulsed field to stimulate tissue with a number of Positive results from these devices. Peter Kulish indicates that although the pulsed fields have given some good results, he does not subscribe to them for any continuous therapy as each directed pulse has an opposite collapse field – similar to the fields of Alternating Current of electric lines and appliances.
Kulish explains, “The electrons of the atoms that make up the cellular structure are always affected by external magnetic fields. Although the pulsed magnetic therapy systems seem to help initially, I am concerned because the electrons of healthy cell tissue have a continuous Negative spin [counterclockwise, left hand chirality]. When influenced by a magnetic field that pulses, the electrons are also pulsed which is not natural in nature. I believe these types of [pulsed devices] are good for initiating an increase in cellular vitality, but then a static [continuous] field should be used to complete the energy supplementation.”
Most solid state (static) magnetic devices used for Biological therapy use direct field (DC) magnetic field current which continuously emits one field from each pole. This type of field is natural to the body when applied correctly. The proper DC polar field of a magnet, when used in the correct application, simply imitates an amplified form of the body’s natural healing energy.

Are magnetic insoles safe?
biomagnetic faqsThat is a big question. A fellow reporting at a meeting of the North American Academy of Magnet Therapy asked if he could use the magnetic insoles because he had a pacemaker as he was warned not use have a magnet near it. It was explained to him that the magnetic insoles are so far away from the heart that it would not affect him. He put them in his shoes and his heart started to fibrillate. He took the insoles out of his shoes and his heart immediately normalized [as personally reported by an associate of the Institute at the meeting].
When explaining this to several practitioners who do Reike, acupuncture, and Shiatsu – they immediately explained that the magnetism was affecting the trigger points of the heart in the feet. If that is the case, then the direct affectation of the electromotive energy from the magnetic soles is not a good idea if it triggers each gland or organ group into a slow (hypo) or fast (hyper) state.
It is surmised that when first put on, if there is MDS (Magnetic Deficiency Syndrome), the lack of cellular electromotive vitality may be overcome initially, but once overcome, the soles may very well trigger direct problems with the gland and organs.
In conclusion, the Institute agrees with the energy practitioners and does not promote this type of system. As there are other basic methods to energizing the body, the Institute cannot recommend this system.
